It began with tearing away the soil on the east side of the house. This will allow rainwater to flow away from the house and makes room for two new propane tanks.

Meanwhile on the other side of the house Andy had bulldozed the area, removed trees and brush and lay down sod.
Beside the garden we added a pathway.
I like it!

We added a culvert by the trail
to the woods for extra drainage.
More sod. Eight skids altogether.
Mark digging for "the big O"

The paths and gardens are starting to take shape.
Later the same day the new retaining wall is in place.
Andy always has a ready smile.
"Watch me pick up this two ton rock!"
Elroy smiles at the camera.
Elroy expertly lays the sod.
